Clexane 40 MG Injection is an anticoagulant that is used to prevent the blood clots in the legs. It is used in combination with warfarin to treat blood clots. The patient should inform the doctor if having any bleeding disorder and should be aware of the possible side effects of this medicine.

When not to use it?AllergyThis medicine is not recommended in the patients with a known allergy to Clexane 40 MG Injection, heparin and pork products.
Bleeding disorderThis medicine is not recommended in patients with acute major bleeding or any bleeding disorder.

PregnancyThis medicine is recommended for pregnant women only if clearly needed. Careful monitoring of any symptoms of bleeding is necessary.
Breast-feedingNo sufficient data is available whether it is excreted in human breast milk. This medicine is recommended in breastfeeding women only if clearly needed. BleedingThis medicine is known to increase the risk of bleeding in patients with a bleeding disorder, gastrointestinal bleeding, uncontrolled hypertension or any eye disorders.
Impaired liver functionThis medicine is known to increase the liver enzymes, therefore, it should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver function.
Impaired kidney functionThis medicine may increase the risk of bleeding in patients with severely impaired kidney function. Dose adjustments are to be made if CrCl is less than 30 ml/min.
Percutaneous coronary revascularization proceduresThis medicine should be used with caution to minimize the risk of bleeding in patients who had undergone surgical procedures to treat unstable angina, myocardial infarction.
Heparin-Induced ThrombocytopeniaThis medicine should be used with caution in patients with the history of heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia. Discontinue the treatment if the platelet levels are below 1 lakh cells/cubic mm.
DosageMissed DoseTake the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose then the missed dose should be skipped.
