    When not to use it?

    Allergy
    This medicine is not recommended in the patients with a known allergy to Clexane 40 MG Injection, heparin and pork products.

    Bleeding disorder

    This medicine is not recommended in patients with acute major bleeding or any bleeding disorder.

    Warnings

    Warnings for special population

    Pregnancy

    This medicine is recommended for pregnant women only if clearly needed. Careful monitoring of any symptoms of bleeding is necessary.

    Breast-feeding

    No sufficient data is available whether it is excreted in human breast milk. This medicine is recommended in breastfeeding women only if clearly needed. A decision should be taken whether to discontinue the treatment or to stop breastfeeding based on the clinical condition.
    General warnings

    Bleeding

    This medicine is known to increase the risk of bleeding in patients with a bleeding disorder, gastrointestinal bleeding, uncontrolled hypertension or any eye disorders.

    Impaired liver function

    This medicine is known to increase the liver enzymes, therefore, it should be used with caution in patients with impaired liver function.

    Impaired kidney function

    This medicine may increase the risk of bleeding in patients with severely impaired kidney function. Dose adjustments are to be made if CrCl is less than 30 ml/min.

    Percutaneous coronary revascularization procedures

    This medicine should be used with caution to minimize the risk of bleeding in patients who had undergone surgical procedures to treat unstable angina, myocardial infarction.

    Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia

    This medicine should be used with caution in patients with the history of heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia. Discontinue the treatment if the platelet levels are below 1 lakh cells/cubic mm.

    Dosage

    Missed Dose
    Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose then the missed dose should be skipped.
